In School Lessons
I work closely the orchestra teachers in the area and I am able to take students for their lessons during their orchestra block.
Each semester includes 13 lessons spread over 15½ weeks giving families plenty of flexibility to find a schedule that works best for them. This allows room to adjust for family trips, illness, or unexpected changes. If students would like more lessons after completing their 13, extra lessons can always be added to keep them progressing and inspired.
Throughout the year, students take part in a weekly group class that gives them valuable opportunities to perform and learn alongside their studio mates at a similar level. I also host masterclasses with distinguished guest artists, designed to inspire students and give them extra chances to perform the pieces they’re preparing. Dates for group classes and masterclasses can easily be found in the Current Student Portal on this website.
In the Student Portal, students receive access to:
The Studio Calendar
Listening links,
Helpful practice audio tracks to play along to
PDF’s of their music
Helpful practicing tips and tricks.
Private lessons strike a healthy balance between building strong technique and applying those skills through carefully selected musical pieces, helping each student grow into a confident, well-rounded musician. Beginning students receive a copy of my book, “Introduction to the Violin” or “Introduction to the Viola,” which lays a strong foundation for learning to play the Violin or Viola and read music.
At the end of each semester, students have the chance to shine in a recital, celebrating their progress and sharing their hard work with family and friends!
