A passionate advocate for both technical excellence and expressive artistry, Antonio’s teaching combines disciplined pedagogy, performance psychology, and collaborative musicianship to help students develop confidence both on stage and in the practice room. His students have earned top placements in competitions and auditions, pursued collegiate music studies, and successfully advanced toward professional orchestral careers.
As a performer, Antonio has appeared with the San Antonio Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Camerata, Austin Unconducted, and the Austin Chamber Music Center. He has also served as guest Concertmaster of the Central Texas Philharmonic.
Deeply committed to ensemble training and chamber music education, Antonio is the co-Director of Chamber Academy Austin, a chamber music program dedicated to the intensive study of string quartet and small ensemble performance. Going into its 5th year, the program collaborates with schools and communities helping young musicians develop the listening, communication, and artistic leadership skills essential to high level performance.
In addition to his work with pre-college students, Antonio has coached musicians preparing for professional orchestra auditions, helping performers refine both their technical preparation and audition mindset.
Antonio holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and a Master of Music in Violin Performance with a minor in String Pedagogy from The University of Texas at Austin. His principal teachers include Lydia Monahan, Mark Zinger, Stefan Hersh, Vadim Gluzman, and Daniel Ching.
